If you have been struggling with debilitating migraines, autoimmune conditions, or other complex issues, you’ve come to the right place. Having navigated these challenging waters myself, I intimately understand the frustration and despair that can accompany being told your lab work and tests look fine, that you’ll just have to live with it, or—my personal favorite—that it’s just part of aging. If you intrinsically know that healing requires us to shift in more ways than only a prescription can provide, let’s get started.

You’ve had acupuncture before, and it wasn’t helpful, so how is what I do different?

The vast majority of acupuncture practiced in the world today is a modern version of acupuncture called TCM or Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was created in the mid-century after Mao took over China. TCM is like reading the Cliff’s Notes rather than the actual book; just like Cliff’s Notes can get you through some tests, so can TCM. But if the test is more challenging, you’re going to need to read the actual book. I practice acupuncture as it’s described in the classical texts, specifically the Complement Channels, and this is where major change happens.

how is your training different?

I began studying the Complement Channels with Ann Cecil-Sterman in 2014. She was a devoted student of Master Jeffrey Yuen, who is an 88th generation Daoist Master. These Channels are what was practiced thousands of years ago in China, prior to the Cultural Revolution, and are no longer fully part of the curriculum at any school in the world, so the significance of having had the opportunity to learn this information cannot be understated. I completed Ann’s inaugural Classical Medicine mentorship in 2023, and previously, I studied with Sean Tuten (who was also a student of Ann’s), completing his year-long Classical Medicine mentorship in 2021.

Do I only treat migraines?

Classical Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive form of healthcare that treats the whole person, and this practice can unwind a variety of conditions thought to be untreatable. While my training and experience is especially effective for more complex issues that haven’t responded to other treatments, I do see all types of chronic, degenerative disease and conditions ranging from orthopedic/sports medicine to pediatrics to allergies and pain.
