If you’ve been feeling like garbage, and no one knows what’s causing it, make sure you’ve gotten your calcium checked. Hypercalcemia (high calcium in the blood) is almost always caused by a parathyroid tumor, and while we easily associate calcium with bones and teeth, we are slower to associate calcium with mental health, digestive problems, bone & muscle pain and weakness, frequent urination, and memory problems.
